Former L’Oréal executives Jamie Glassman and Wendy Charland have joined forces to launch WYOS, a personal care line formulated with clean ingredients in a unique stick format.
The inspiration for WYOS (an acronym for Write Your Own Story) stemmed from the duo’s professional experience in the beauty industry as well as their personal experiences with self-care. “Wendy and I started WYOS because we saw white space not only in the personal care market but also in the way brands connect to consumers,” Jamie says. “Current products aren’t portable, and it is impossible to avoid waste, so we created a personal care line great for anyone on-thego that is mess-free and fun to use.” The travel friendly products have been formulated with clean ingredients in a stick format, with the initial product offerings of a shampoo stick, shave stick, cleansing stick, moisturizer stick and purifying mask stick. In addition to the products themselves, Glassman and Charland also established the brand with a deeper desire: to take beauty beyond self-care and into community care. “We launched the brand with a commitment to play a part in moving mental health forward,” Wendy explains. Consumers are encouraged to take a pledge of values (no purchase required) triggering a donation from WYOS to the MadHappy Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to advance the mental health conversation.
